kindergartens āBambiā and āNevenā in Prokuplje and elementary school
āMitropolit Mihailoā in Trubarevac village, Soko Banja municipality. This summer, uniformed members of the Armed Forces of the United States
and Serbia engaged in a number of combined Humanitarian Assistance (HA)
projects rehabilitating elementary schools and kindergarten facilities.

On Monday, August 24th, Charge d’Affaires Jennifer Brush and Serbian Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac will visit reconstructed kindergartens „Bambi“ and „Neven“ in Prokuplje and elementary school „Mitropolit Mihailo“ in Trubarevac village, Soko Banja municipality.
This summer, uniformed members of the Armed Forces of the United States and Serbia engaged in a number of combined Humanitarian Assistance (HA) projects rehabilitating elementary schools and kindergarten facilities.
The U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation is completing six engineer/construction projects in Lapovo, Soko Banja, Prokuplje, Varvarin, and Pirot municipalities with a total value of one million USD.
Defense Minister Dragan Šutanovac said that cooperation between Serbian military officials and the Ohio National Guard is important.
After visiting an elementary school near Soko Banja, which Serbian military members and members of the Ohio National Guard are working to help reconstruct, Šutanovac said that they had been cooperating since September 2006.
He also said that there had been a lot of joint activities that the National Guard has participated in with the Serbian military.
This year, there will be 13 new activities, and we are making a new plan for 2010 as well, Šutanovac said, while visiting the school along with U.S. embassy charge d'affairs in Belgrade Jennifer Brush.
Šutanovac and Brush also visited the Neven preschool in Prokuplje, which is also being reconstructed with the help of the Serbian military and Ohio National Guardr Soko Banja, which Serbian military members and members of the Ohio National Guard are working to help reconstruct, Šutanovac said that they had been cooperating since September 2006.
